Abstract

• Maple is a program developed and distributed by the company Maplesoft (also in cooperation with universities and research institutes). It is a computer algebra system, that is, a program which undertakes mathematical manipulations exactly according to given rules; in particular, it does not commit roundoff errors as is the case with numerical approximation methods.
