Abstract

  • A new microstrip combline filter with adjustable center frequency and bandwidth is proposed. The design is based on a double sided varactor loaded resonators and a resonant defected ground structures. Detailed filter design equations are given and explained. To validate the proposed structure, a second-order prototype filter is designed and fabricated with a relative bandwidth of 10 to 15% and a tuning range of 95 %.
