Abstract

  • Owing to the constant rise in the number of regulatory requirements, checking and ensuring business process compliance (BPC) becomes increasingly complex and thus more costly. Although managing BPC in a cost-effective way is critical for organisations, it lacks a corresponding domain model. In response, the paper at hand introduces a theoretically grounded conceptual model including necessary domain-specific elements, attributes and methods for cost-effective BPC. The model maps the operating principle of cost-effectiveness calculations in a BPC environment.
