The Ordering Party is a leading manufacturer of pulse power systems suitable to join metal parts. To assist the implementation of these technologies into industrial production it is vital to have quantified data of direct comparisons to other state of the art joining technologies and to present this to relevant customers. The proposed project is targeted to alleviate these challenges.

A comparison of different welding technologies is planned for a generic part design to gain new insights into pros and cons of the technologies. Based on the review of test results as well as economical estimations (process times, invest costs…) quantified data will be compiled to simplify future acquisition efforts.
